The Zinzi Christmas Party began more than 25 years ago when Frank & Chris Zinzi decided to host a Christmas party at their home in Northern Virginia. That first one was such a success they chose to do it annually. And because of their involvement in the bar/nightclub industry, an annual event was born.

To accommodate the growing guest list, the Zinzis realized that the party had to be moved to facility better equipped to handle large volumes of people, so they rented the Kena Temple hall in Fairfax, VA. It housed the party for a couple of years.

Donations from the venue initially benefitted St. Ann's Infant & Maternity Home (today known as St. Ann's Center for Children, Youth & Families); and since then the party has benefitted  multiple charitable organizations, such as Children's National Medical Center (Children's Hospital), St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and the Pentagon Assistance Fund (PAF).

In 2014 "Party Central" became the luxurious Washington Hilton Hotel, which has one of the largest ballrooms in the city. In addition to its historical significance, the hotel's other advantages include: a convenient, DuPont Circle location; plush accommodations; and excellent service.

The Zinzi Christmas Party has grown tremendously since its inception.  It is now co-sponsored by numerous corporations and local businesses, plus a number of individuals serving as co-hosts.  Moreover, it has since become the preeminent holiday event of DC's bar, restaurant and nightclub industry; and in doing so, it has raised a lot of money in support of various local and national charities.
